Spend about 10 hours exploring Bali’s most photographed sights with hotel pickup, an air-conditioned vehicle, and an English or Korean-speaking guide. The flying dress
A studio in Oia worked out that several metres of trailing silk, a whitewashed terrace and a wind off the caldera photograph like nothing else, and the idea has since travelled to Dubai's dunes and the Cappadocian valleys. Shoots run at sunrise because the terraces are empty and the light is soft, the dresses come in every colour, and the wind does most of the styling for you.

The clear kayak
A transparent hull over a metre of turquoise flat gives a photographer something no studio can fake: you appear to be floating in mid-air. Montego Bay, Curacao, Nassau and the Turks and Caicos all run them, usually with a drone up for the overhead frame. Mid-morning sun is what makes the water glow, so the early slots are the ones that sell.

Aurora, with you in it
Phone cameras finally see the aurora, but they cannot light a person standing under it. The tours that matter carry a guide with a proper body, a tripod and a flash, and they keep driving until they find a gap in the cloud. Season runs roughly September to early April; the clearest nights are also the coldest, which is the trade nobody mentions in the listing.

Light, season and dress code decide more of this than money does.
Almost every session on this site is sold on an hour rather than a day. Sunrise slots exist because the terrace, the bridge or the temple gate is empty then. Aurora runs on a season and a forecast. Costume shoots need a fitting before the walking starts. Read the start time before you read the price.
